Easter Sunday just happens to fall on April Fool’s Day this year (Sunday, April 1, 2018), but we’re completely serious about fun in the sun and special celebrations in Sarasota and Siesta Key.

Sarasota County Parks, Recreation & Natural Resources will be offering residents and visitors alike the opportunity to learn about “big trucks,” plus police vehicles, fire engines and buses at the 22nd annual Big Truck Day & EGGstravaganza. This free event located at Nathan Benderson Park this year, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle. Check it out with the little ones, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018. The Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce will host an Easter Party & Egg Hunt for children ages 1 to 6 at Turtle Beach located at 8918 Midnight Pass Road, Siesta Key. The event set for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 31, 2018, is $10 per child. Full details can be found at siestakeychamber.com.
The Pine Shores Presbyterian Church will host its annual sunrise service on the beach beginning at sunrise (6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018) on the beautiful sands of Siesta Key Beach.
