Memorial Day Observance at Sarasota National Cemetery
Sunday, May 27 at 10 a.m.
Patriot’s Plaza, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota.
A program honoring America’s fallen soldiers and their families. Purple Heart recipient David Taylor, an Army veteran, will be the keynote speaker. Local artists will perform a medley of patriotic music and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Osprey Avenue in Downtown Sarasota
Parade organizers are planning an Air Force fly-over at 10 a.m. A post-parade ceremony will be held following the parade, at approximately 11 a.m. at J.D. Hamel Park on Gulf Stream Avenue. (Across from the “kissing statue.”)
Memorial Day Concert: Honoring all Branches of the Military
Monday, May 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Philippi Estate Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota
Enjoy live music from the Sarasota Concert Band. Food and beverages will be available from vendors, or bring your own picnic along. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. Admission is $5 for adults. Children 16 and under are admitted for free.
