While most individuals will be prepping, baking, stressing and hosting a variety of “turkey day” celebrations in-home across the country, those lucky enough to be vacationing in Sarasota are frankly lucky enough. Who doesn’t want to enjoy a stroll in the waves or take in the sunset at the beach in late November? However, our town has quite a bit to offer – in addition to the crystal sands of Siesta Key on Thanksgiving!
If you’re anxious to get out of your hotel or home, here are just a few business which are open for business on Thanksgiving Day:
Mote Aquarium is open 365 days a year, so you’re always welcome to get up close to sharks, rays, manatees, sea turtles and more than 100 species of marine life! The Aquarium hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day.
Selby Gardens will be open on Thanksgiving from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and regular hours of 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. throughout the holiday weekend. It’s also your final chance to view the The Orchid Show: Earth, Air, Fire, Water which concludes this Sunday!
Go putt putting at Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf which is also open all holidays.
